With grateful thanks to Curtis Clark for reaching out to Mark’s IBM colleagues and collating the wonderful tributes so many have written.
Ann: Our hearts remain heavy for Mark’s passing, and our prayer is that as each day passes, the Love and Joy you and Mark had, although too brief, will sustain you.
As you know I worked with Mark for over 20 years. I will never forget the first time he told us about his “Ann.” The Sparkle in his eyes and the Joy he had in talking about your relationship was lovely. And our dinner in London was such a special moment for Beth Brownhill and I to see you together, and the affection and love that night was an inspiration.
Below is the list of remembrances to my LinkedIn Post. I have put some notes next to some of the individuals so you could know their relationship to Mark. In summary, they came from around the world, because Mark was such a global leader that so may clients and colleagues counted on for clarity and vision for how to run their governments.
LinkedIn Post
Today I learned from his wife Ann, that Mark is now soaring with Angels, and I believe that. In my 40 year career, Mark was the Best. I traveled the world with Mark. A Brilliant ‘Oxford’ Man, someone who was often the smartest person in the room, but was humble and wise. I am blessed to have called him a dear friend and colleague. And now his pain and suffering has ended. Soar Mark, you have earned the rest.

So many great comments that describe Mark to a "T". Mark was one of those who talked to clients in the briefing center and could take them from where they were in their thinking, to where they needed to be from a strategy and technology perspective. He delivered good things to every client he spoke to. He will be missed. A true gentleman.
